YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Adoption Advocates knows that every person who reaches out to us is coming from a place of fear, hurt or uncertainty. That’s why we’ve chose to remain a small adoption agency – so that we can give each individual the personal support and attention they deserve during this challenging time.

When you work with us, you can expect to be treated with respect, dignity and honesty. Our role is to guide you through the process, and give you the tools and knowledge to help you make an informed decision. Our counselors are here to listen, to help process your feelings and to answer your questions – without judgment or pressure.

YOU ARE IN CONTROL.

Adoption Advocates believes that you should be in control of your adoption plan, every step of the way. As an expectant parent, you have the right to:

  • Choose the adoptive family you want to raise your child.
  • Participate in confidential, one-on-one counseling during your pregnancy, and for as long as you need afterwards.
  • Create a hospital plan that works for you – including how much time you spend with the baby and whether or not the adoptive family is there.
  • Develop a post-placement plan with the adoptive family so that you receive as much (or as little) information and contact as you are comfortable with.
  • Receive financial assistance for pregnancy-related expenses.
  • Have your decision respected by the agency and adoptive families if you choose to parent your child.

AAI was my port in the storm. Having a place that was full of people to help me figure out what to do next, and how to cope and grieve, was everything I didn’t know I needed.
